Prof. Rhee is a member of Editorial Board of American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, BMC Pulmonary Medicine, Journal of COPD, Frontiers in Medicine, Journal of Thoracic Disease, Journal of Korean Medical Science, and Life. He is also a Deputy Editor of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases. He is ATS Fellow, APSR Fellow, Chairperson of APSR Research Committee, and Head of APSR COPD assembly. He is a member of steering committee of International Severe Asthma Registry (ISAR) and principal investigator of ISAR Korea. He is also a member of many committees of Korean Academy of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease. Prof. Rhee has published more than 300 SCI(E) articles. The focus of his research is COPD and asthma
