Daiana Stolz
MPH, FCCP, FERS
Prof. Daiana Stolz is a pulmonologist and clinician-scientist specializing in airway inflammation, COPD, asthma, and respiratory infections. Since 2021, she has been Medical Director and Full Professor (W3) of Pneumology at the University Medical Center Freiburg. Previously, she led a clinical research group and held a professorship at the University Hospital Basel, supported by a prestigious Swiss National Science Foundation Professorship.
She holds an MPH from Harvard and has authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications, including in The Lancet, Lancet Respiratory Medicine, and ERJ. Her research focuses on biomarkers, infection diagnostics, and personalized respiratory care. Prof. Stolz has received numerous awards, including the ERS Gold Medal in Education (2021), and is a Fellow of both the ERS and ACCP. She has held leadership roles within the European Respiratory Society and serves on several international editorial boards.
